Madeline
Blair, a radio psychologist, needs better ratings. The idea seems to be great,
inventing a stalker who calls in from time to time. Her friend David is ready
to take over the role. What she did not count on was one of her listeners being
ready to free the woman from her stalker. Seth is secretly in love with her and
desperate since his wife betrayed him. He will be the hero, liberating Madeline
Blair. But things develop other than planned and soon Madeline really has a
stalker: Seth feels betrayed and is seeking revenge.
The latest
novel of the Lizzy Gardner series is thrilling and fast moving. The reader gets
both perspectives at the same time and can follow the cat and mouse play
holding his breath. Apart from the main story, the minor case around Haley
searching her mother’s murderer also provides at lot of suspense. At times I
wished a bit more focus on Madeline’s case and less personal details about the
character’s lives, but this makes them round and lively characters.
To sum up:
good entertainment, thrilling and not recommended for the faint-hearted reader.
I'd like to thank Netgalley for the advanced copy.
